a tip in changing water filter: Replace a whole house water filter cartridge regularly. Most experts recommend every three months and make sure you purchase the right kind of cartridge. It should say “whole house” on the package.

You must follow the directions for changing your water filter! Most refrigerators will begin to experience mechanical problems if the filter becomes too old and the resulting damage is often very costly to repair.

I learned this lesson the hard way and the service technician told me that changing the filter on schedule is a must if you want to keep the system running well and to avoid $300 repair bills!
