Thank you admin for your helpful information. The 30 second video was really informative too.And everyone should definitely be active in reducing the pollution.
IMO it is really wise to have Refrigerator Water Filters rather than going with the bottled water.
I look forward for more informative blogs.
My fridge has one. My family uses it all the time. I used to have bottled water for the kids but they would open a bottle and leave it half full sitting around somewhere. What a waste. Thanks for the info.
I’m installing a water softener on the side of my house, out there I already have 4 small filters and one large carbon filter. Do I install the softener before or after these filters?
Thanks for maintaining such a informative website. Your weblog was not just knowledgeable but also very creative too. We come across only few people who are capable of write technical stuff that creatively. Keep up the good work !!
Water filteration’s a big issue these days. I’m getting worried about the carcinogenic chemicals in the standard water supply.
We have one and highly recommend them. Water taste wasn’t an issue where we live but we just like the thought of removing all the impurities. I enjoyed a look around your site. Cheers!
Somebody dropped a link to your blog on Twitter and that is where I first found your blog. I actually fancy the stuff I have read on your blog and plan to keep reading when I get more time. Do you have a Twitter account?
Our tap water is quite bad tasting – mostly due to chlorine. You get used to it until you go away on vacation somewhere else for a while and then come back home. That’s when it’s most noticeable. I think a refrigerator water filter could be the answer. Thanks for the info.
Great site to find refrigerator water filters, thanks!
I think that refrigerator water filters are the way forward. The water where I live does not seem to be top grade as it is slightly cloudy and has a strong chlorine taste. Since I fitted my filter the water has been fine. It has also saved me money as I no linger buy bottled water.
Water filters are great to have, you have some great information here.
I was just in South America for a couple of weeks visiting family and they buy bottled water. They say that the filters still arent trusted over there which is a shame because bottled water gets quite expensive really.
I am in the UK and over here most fridges do not have a water filter system attached. I think this is more an American thing but the bigger American fridge is increasingly becoming popular.
Water filter system is a great idea especially with the health benefits outlined in this article. And having such an item already part of another appliance like the fridge just makes things more convenient.
I never heard of refrigerator water filters. I see that water filters are very common in US. Here in Romania, people do not use water filters so much. The bottled water is the one everybody is buying. In some major cities it isn’t advisable to drink the tap water, as it is not very good for your health. And still, very few people buy water filters.
I think this is brilliant because I know for a fact that just because it’s inside the refrigerator, doesn’t mean it’s clean. This is especially serious when we’re talking about drinking water.
My friend bought a refrigerator with this feature and I love how the taste of the water improved. Now I’m saving up to get the same refrigerator. Anyone looking for a used GE refrigerator?
Most filters remove chlorine, taste and odor from your water. If your fridge filters is the only filtering system you use, I believe they make some filters that remove more than just the above. Most filter boxes will have it clearly labeled what water contaminates it removes.
This is so helpful, thank you. We just bought a fridge with a water filter and I was really at a loss…never had to deal with that before!
My refrigerator doesn’t use water filters but I do have a pretty good under-the-sink filtration system. I’ve seen a big improvement in water quality since having it installed. If I get a new fridge I’ll definitely check out using water filters with one.
I opened a website because of my problem with hard water build up, makes me nuts I cannot get it clean. I scrub forever!
Great post
Is there a cheaper alternative to the grill mount refrigerator water filters?
This for providing an extensive list on where to find filters. It makes such a difference to the taste of the water and is much healthier as you say
Hi really enjoyed reading your post.
The water and ice from my refrigerator kinda smells weird. It is a GE and does not have any filters.Any ideas?
John
John, have you tried washing and cleaning the refrigerator. That happened to me once but I just soaped the compartments and the smell disappeared!
I believe the water from home type water filters is much cleaner than most of the bottled water that people pay much more for.
The water from filtration systems for the home is just as good if not better for drinking. I utilize the refrigerator at work for water, therefore saving myself at least $5 a day! Yikes!
Great information for for locating refrigerator water filters, thanks for sharing
There’s no doubt that this is the best way of getting your drinking water. Water pitchers with filters are a pain (and take up much needed frig space), filters on faucets don’t make the water cold, and the environmental and cost effects of water in plastic bottles are terrible.
I you are looking for an industrial water filtration we use k factor filter.
For many years I was drinking Cola because I hated the taste of tap water. A few months ago I drank filtered water and the taste was brilliant! Since then I have been converted. Filtered Water is great. I guess having a filtration device as part of the refrigerator makes thing that much more convenient.
